President Putin characterised the strikes against civilian infrastructure as a massive onslaught intended to create uncertainty regarding the actions of the Russian armed forces. Furthermore, it was stated that Russian troops are nearing the capture of Kostiantynivka, described as the southern anchor of the fortress belt in the Donetsk region, which Moscow has demanded Kyiv relinquish.
